Amity Warrant Checks
Amity publishes no public active-warrant list, citation lookup, bond form, or recall form. One channel cannot answer everything, so plan on several. Keep the citation, the notice, your exact recorded name, and the case number close at hand, since the case number sorts out shared names.
- Search Search ARCourts by participant or case number, then note the court, events, and dates.
- Call the Amity department clerk at (870) 342-5822 for an Amity traffic, misdemeanor, ordinance, or FTA case.
- Call central Clark County District Court at (870) 246-9552 when the department or hearing location is uncertain.
- For service, booking, or court-directed surrender questions, call the Clark County Sheriff at (870) 246-2222.
- For a felony or other circuit matter, contact the Circuit Clerk at (870) 246-4281 and consider counsel before acting.
When a record is public but not online, a focused Arkansas FOIA request to the right custodian is the fallback. Amity has no substitute in the restricted ACIC and NCIC data, which stay closed to the public.
Amity Has No Warrant Portal
No Amity portal does not mean no warrant. Search ARCourts is a public case-information service, not a real-time warrant registry. It can show warrant events as issued, served, or recalled. Sealed matters, confidential juvenile cases, recent filings, and non-reporting records may be missing.
A blank search is not clearance. Ask the Amity or central District Court clerk whether an FTA or bench warrant remains outstanding and whether a later order changed it.
Read the docket in order. An entry showing a warrant issued, then recalled or served, tells a different story than the first line alone. The Amity clerk can explain procedure and name the controlling department, but cannot give legal advice.
Policing and Courts in Amity
Amity is a named department of Clark County District Court, 40th District. It is not a separate municipal warrant court. Amity Police may issue a citation, submit a matter, or execute process, while the District Court judge controls any district bench or failure-to-appear warrant.

Amity City Hall as a Route
The official Amity city-hall page gives the address and contact details for city government.

That page locates city government. It offers no warrant search, and it cannot recall a court order. Amity counted 681 residents in the 2020 Census, yet its department clerk sits inside a countywide court structure. So ask three things: can the clerk handle this locally, does central District Court own the docket, and where will an appearance happen?
Warrants in Amity: The Main Types
The warrant label and the originating docket set the route. Clark County records say “bench warrant,” “failure to appear,” and “FTA warrant,” never “capias pro fine.” A search warrant concerns evidence and is not part of any public name search.
| Warrant type | How it arises | First source |
|---|---|---|
| Bench or FTA | A required Amity department setting is missed or a court direction is not met. | Amity or central District Court clerk |
| Traffic warrant | A citation date is missed; Driver Control may receive notice. | District Court clerk |
| Arrest warrant | A judge or magistrate finds the required criminal grounds. | Court named on the case |
| Circuit warrant | A felony or general-jurisdiction case proceeds in Ninth East Circuit Court. | Circuit Clerk |
| Juvenile or sealed | A protected matter requires confidential handling. | Circuit Clerk, subject to limits |
Amity Court Dates Need Confirmation
An older administrative schedule put Amity traffic and criminal court on the fourth Wednesday at 10 a.m. Sessions were held in the Arkadelphia courtroom. Treat those dated facts as a reason to call, not as a current appointment.
Before traveling: call (870) 342-5822 or (870) 246-9552. Confirm the date, courtroom, appearance requirement, and department.
An Amity department label is not proof that court meets at Amity City Hall. Confirm the location first. If directed to appear, bring identification and the notice. No office published warrant-specific ID, security, parking, interpreter, or accommodation rules, so ask about accessibility or language help beforehand.
Amity Warrant Records: What They Show
A public Amity result gives docket facts, not a promise that a warrant is still enforceable. Use each field to build one precise question for the clerk.
| Case number | The strongest identifier; copy it exactly. |
|---|---|
| Participant | The person linked to the case; a name-only match may be wrong. |
| Court and department | Distinguishes Amity District Court from Ninth East Circuit Court. |
| Case type or offense | Identifies traffic, misdemeanor, ordinance, or another category. |
| Warrant event | May describe an arrest, bench, or FTA warrant as issued or served. |
| Later event | May record recall, withdrawal, or release; confirm it. |
| Bond or payment | Appears only if public and filed; no standard Amity bond schedule was found. |
Resolving an Amity Missed Date
A missed citation or criminal date may produce an FTA or bench warrant. Call with the case number. Ask whether the judge requires a new date, an appearance, a payment-plan review, a counsel filing, or another step, because a clerk cannot simply promise removal over the phone.
- Confirm the event belongs to Amity and ask about later recall.
- Verify the current appearance place.
- Ask whether payment is permitted and which client or pay code applies.
- Ask whether a judicial recall order must be entered.
- If custody is directed, contact the sheriff first because no Amity walk-in procedure is published.
The District Court FAQ lists cash or money order at the sheriff or Arkadelphia Police, a mailed money order, and CourtPay with a convenience fee. Pay only after the court directs it. Anyone in Amity with both an outstanding warrant and a suspended license must arrange a date and appear before the judge. Driver Control can lag behind the court. Confirm both systems separately.
Amity Warrants and Clark County
Amity traffic and misdemeanor records live in the 40th District Court structure. Felony and general-jurisdiction matters go to Ninth East Circuit Court, while the sheriff serves court-issued warrants and manages custody. Arkansas has no public statewide active-warrant portal, and Search ARCourts is case discovery only.
Warrant flow: Amity Police / Amity District Court department › Clark County Sheriff › restricted ACIC/NCIC systems
For the wider route, see the Clark County warrant records overview and the county warrant check. At the city level, the task is finding whether Amity or the central clerk controls the docket.
Amity Ordinances and Warrants
Amity’s official ordinance and resolution index collects local rules from city government. It is not a warrant list. It is not a citation lookup or a court docket either. An ordinance allegation may begin differently than a state-law traffic or criminal allegation, but any bench or FTA question still turns on a court record.
City ordinance: a local rule adopted by city government.
District department: the Amity-labeled branch handling local dockets within the 40th District.
Police role: an officer may originate or execute process, but the judge controls recall.
Ask which charge appears, which docket holds it, and whether you must appear. An ordinance index is no reason to assume Amity city staff can settle an outstanding warrant.
Accessing Amity Warrant Records
Send any request to the right custodian: District Court for an Amity district docket, Circuit Clerk for circuit files, or the sheriff for releasable service and booking records. Include the case or citation number. Add the record type, the dates, and whether you want inspection or copies. No local warrant-specific form or turnaround time exists.
Key rules:
Arkansas Freedom of Information Act of 1967 permits specific requests through custodian-supported methods, subject to exemptions.
Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order 19 governs court access and treats portal data as nonofficial.
Ark. Code Ann. § 9-27-309 protects juvenile records.
ACIC and NCIC files stay restricted. For an Amity warrant, ask the office for the local filed docket or an executed warrant, and if material is withheld, request the exemption in writing.
Amity Payment Is Not Recall
A receipt shows the Amity court received your money, nothing more. It does not show the warrant is gone. Before you pay, confirm the right court client and ask whether the judge wants an appearance, a new setting, or a separate order. Once you follow the instructions, ask the clerk whether a recall event was entered on the docket. Amity posts no online citation lookup, recall form, bond chart, amnesty notice, or surrender hours. Keep your receipts and instructions, but treat them as one clue, not proof of status. Only the court can give the procedural answer on an outstanding warrant. When arrest risk, bond, or a contested charge is in play, let an attorney advise you on how to proceed.
Preparing an Amity Clerk Call
A concise call helps the Amity clerk separate who you are from what you need resolved. Say up front that the question concerns your own case or a relative's matter. Give the case or citation number exactly. Ask which court and department own the record. Then ask whether the docket shows an issued warrant, a later service or recall entry, a new court date, and a mandatory appearance. If the clerk cannot disclose a protected detail, ask which custodian or written-request method applies instead of pressing for restricted database information. Write down the office, the date, and the procedural instruction. Confirm the physical location too, because the Amity department name and the historically centralized Arkadelphia courtroom are not interchangeable. If the answer involves surrender, booking, bond, or immediate arrest risk, contact counsel and the sheriff through published numbers before you travel. Routine status questions should not go to 911. This preparation cannot force a remote status decision. What it does is cut mistaken routing and hand the issuing court the identifiers it needs for a warrant check.
